  Augusta House- terrible meal on Thurs/Fri April 6-7. The Chefs Chop Block this day was a amall bacon wrapped fillet with mash & veg. Ordered MR and came MW. Returned. Second time around it came MR but was so chewy it was a challenge to even tear it apart by hand. Get a new Line cook and better meat supplier. Lousy mashed as well . Enjoyed the sauteed veg medley. That's all I could eat.

  Only ever had a couple drinks here.. Good crowd, service was good. I'd go back but just not my kind of place.

  On Thursday night (June 22) my co-workers and I (approx. 20 of us) went to Augusta house for a going away party, we all ordered food - the service was SO slow but we were totally fine with that. (we understood we were a large group) after dinner we started drinking, no one was wild, no one was out of control, no one was being belligerent - we were a little loud but again there was a large group of us, and at this point there was maybe 2 other people in the restaurant. We went to order our next round of drinks and the bar tender cut us off - all of us. Like I said before no one was drunk or acting inappropriately at all. When we asked why he said "you've all had 5 shots, that's too many" When I explained that, that was not the case he stated that it was the same people coming up to the bar the whole night. I am sorry but you ARE A BAR!! If we were out of control I would have totally respected his decision, but again we were not. We left the bar and carried on to another one where we continued to have a great night. I will not be coming back to this establishment.
