  My in-laws love this place, but I don't see the attraction. The service is good and the staff is very friendly. The menu doesn't have much for vegetarians and vegans to consider; Germans and Austrians love their meats! The decor and uniforms extremely dated and have likely been the same since the place opened in 1967. Some may like the nostalgia of environment, but I know Gordon Ramsey would scold the owners for not refreshing the look.

  Great eatery for authentic European German food. Not only is the food good and moderately priced, we had generous portions. We were served by Eva and Megan with prompt courteous attention, great smiles and positive personality. All around, not only is it a great meal, it was a great experience in the heart of downtown Hamilton. Always a must when I come to this city.

  My friend took us here recently because he said it was a Hamilton landmark and I'm so glad he did. The food is delicious, authentic, and a refreshing change from most restaurant fare. I'm still salivating over the potato soup! Prices are fair and you get enormous portions, which is really just the cherry on top because you definitely go for the atmosphere and friendly service.
