  A great little spot with friendly service and excellent food. Everything is made to order, so not the place to go if you are in a rush, and besides, one should not rush good food! Sit, relax and enjoy. This quaint restaurant was once a home and has been converted to a bar over the years. It is now home to this lovely bistro. The main dining area holds several tables that are quite cozy and close to each other. Despite this, I never felt as though I was distracted by conversations around us. Beyond the dining area is a darker, intimate and inviting bar area with higher tables. We were seated in the dining room but would have been just as happy in the bar area. We enjoyed the historical pictures of Dundas that adorned the walls in the bright light filled dining area. Hard to imagine horse and carriage passing by on muddy streets!! We started with a perfectly made Old Fashioned cocktail (they even had several bitter options to choose from) and we ordered a couple of shareable plates. The slider combination was excellent, offering short rib, chicken and pork belly. We agreed that the pork belly was the star of the trio. Our second plate was the fish tacos. Our server offered the choice of pan fried or breaded fish. We opted for breaded and they were lightly coated, fresh tasting and held up well in the soft taco. One of the nicest fish tacos I've had. As mentioned, the food is made to order and is worth the wait. We did see some mains coming out which looked fantastic. I will be back for dinner and hope the gnocchi is still on the menu. Overall, this is a great spot to relax and enjoy a freshly prepared meal in a warm and welcoming environment.

  My husband, daughter and I happened to be passing by the restuarant and popped in for lunch. It was a wonderful choice. The food is exceptional and the staff are so friendly we now plan on making it our regular restaurant. We live about 40 minutes away but it will be well worth the drive.
