  If it wasn't staggering distance from my home, I'd never go. The beer selection is only good compared to 10 years ago. They've changed exactly one draft beer in the last two years. I'd accept the dive-y decor (some of my favorite haunts over the years have been dives) if the beer selection was decent, but it's not. Unless you really LOVE Guinness, there's nothing on tap to write home about. People say the food is good, but the place reeks pretty strongly of dishwasher and really old fryer grease every time I go, so I'm going to take a permanent pass on the grub. (I only go once in a blue moon for pints with a neighbour anyway, so food typically isn't on the agenda.) It's an authentic Irish pub you say? Sure, in the same way your local legion hall is an authentic Canadian pub. If Mississippi Queen ever gets a liquor license, I'll be happy never to return.

  The fare is hearty, delicious, well made food that also seems home cooked. Loads of meat and potatoes. Good beer selection. Friendly staff. A must stop place for St. Patrick's, but get there early!

  By far my favourite place for a pint in Hamilton. Staff is absolutely lovely. The food is homemade and delicious.

  Chicken messy curry, that is all. Will return again and again for that alone. On the other hand, I would come again and again for the entertaining people and performers. Sunday evenings are a must.
